It needs global beat sync in the next firmware update! I was shocked to find out it doesn’t allow all modulation and the arpeggiator to do it it in a global on or off fashion especially with loop able envelopes on bourd and same for the LFOS and wave tables . It ridiculous no one seems to be demanding it. 🤔👽

Does this keyboard do mellotron sounds?

I have the FP-90x. The Roland quality and action is there, BUT patches have some voicing and key volume problems. The "Piano Designer" helps a little but time consuming. I found a few patches that had satisfactory voicing and key volumes that aren't annoying to me. Digital pianos have voicing and key volume problems. Maybe the very high end digitals are better. I have some under $5000.00. I hope the $7000.00 and up are a lot better. These comments are for the piano patches only.

That opening piano sound is terrible!

About digital pianos, I have a few MSRP under $5000.00 including this Casio. For some it won't matter, but it's annoying with a few soft volume keys and 2 or 3 extra loud volume keys. Only the RD-Roland has the Piano Designer to help with this issue for the individual key volume and voicing issue. Otherwise, the voicing and volume of certain keys are not satisfactory to me with the ones I have. I hope the $10,000.00 digitals are better with the key volume/voicing issues.

Wish they kept this in the under $2000 price point. It's too much of a price increase for the audience that opted for the xk-1c.
